MK-Eat is a multi-disciplinary, community-based grant. We encourage projects that reflect community needs and welcome all types of manifestation, including (but certainly not limited to) performance, video, design, music, public installation, community engagement projects, theater, media arts, arts outreach, youth projects, dance, educational opportunities, projects rooted in sustainable practices, and outreach to under-represented communities. Please understand that the number of proposals we are able to accept and display at each MK-EaT is based on the venue we’re at and how much space is available.
How does it work?
MK-Eat collects proposals for art projects to be completed here in Milwaukee.
We find a place, and bring all the proposals together in one place.
We Eat.
We look at proposals past.
We hear from artists about future proposals.
We vote.
We award the funds collected at the dinner to the project or projects the audience decides to fund.
We win.
